This is one I can’t pin down, which is unusual.  I think the problem is the sheer volumn of work MacDonald has churned out in the past few years makes it almost impossible to do a true web search on her.  Every instinct I have tells me she’s not ‘kosher’ but I can’t prove it.  Anyone as prolifically anti-hispanic and as seriously racist as MacDonald has something in a closet somewhere.  The problem is her past is buried so deeply I can’t crack it.  She’s squeeky clean, so far.  But, someone who is cited so much by Malkin, Vdare, Steven Sailor, Sam Francis, American Resistance, American Renaissance, etc. isn’t a saint. I was finally able to prove she is playing fast and lose with the facts and sourcing on Hispanic culture.  Frankly, in my humble opinion, she is probably one of the worst, most biased anti-hispanic source out there today. 

When dealing with anything about immigration, the first thing a person needs to know is to look beyond the hype and investigate the credentials of the author of a piece.  Heather MacDonald is no exception.  In NRO she has an extremely biased, one sided kill piece about the Hispanic family.  She’s an expert, right?  Well, Vdare has her as part of the libertarian (a kicker right there) Manhattan Institute. And a Source Watch profile reveals nothing that could point to MacDonald’s racism against Hispanics.  MacDonald is one of the promoters of the racist, Hispanic Family Values (check out this Vdare which parrots her).  I know she is using the racist Myth of Hispanic Family Values from American Resistance, but I can’t prove it.

(Note:  The thing that gets me about libertarians and illegal immigration – Libertarians are allegedly for limited government – as little as possible – but the anti-immigration stance many of them take is the ultimate Big Brother.  You can’t have it both ways.  A true libertarian would let these guys come and go over the border and live and let live.  As it is, they are some of the biggest promoters of Draconian immigration laws.  Go figure.  I’m not bright enough.)

From her profile on One People’s Project (which is quite liberal, but the person doing it is an ex-hate monger so I give him a break) “…A non-practicing lawyer fresh from stints at the EPA and as a clerk for a Judge Stephen Reinhardt in California, Heather MacDonald moved to the city from Los Angeles in 1987 and jumped into the racial tensions going on there at the time. She found herself at a conservative think tank called the Manhattan Institute (MI) This lovely place was founded by former CIA director William Casey and in the past was funded by far right eugenics advocates such as the Pioneer Fund and others, Many of those other backers also backed Hitler’s rise to power. One of them, Chase Bank, has publicly apologized for its support of Hitler, but where today’s hate politics are concerned, MI does not seem so forgiving. They have sponsored eugenics projects, most notably the pro-eugenics book The Bell Curve, a best-selling book that proposed the idea that blacks are mentally inferior. On one website, it is noted that while the Manhattan Institute does not publicly advocate mass extermination or mass relocation of minorities the policies it does promote are mostly about targeting black and Latino inner city populations in such a way as to make relocation an attractive option and elimination a day to day reality. …”

Her immigration numbers are skewed, but you can’t pin her down. The closest I can get is this AZ Central article.   “…Nearly two dozen organization members handed lawmakers two-page documents that they called the “real facts.” Richard White, president of the organization, called Pearce’s rhetoric a smear campaign against “a whole people that tends to create division and fear.”The purpose is to advance a political agenda of hard-line immigration reforms by instilling fear in the public and pressure among lawmakers to act, White said.”I hope the public will recognize the song and dance for what it is,” he said.Statistics can be slippery ground, and even the organization’s fact sheet didn’t compare apples to apples as, in one instance, Pearce cited statistics on federal prisoners and the Interfaith Network responded with statistics on prisoners in state facilities.Pearce has said that one-third of federal prisoners are illegal. The Network points out that fewer than 12 percent of those incarcerated in state prisons are Mexican nationals.The Republic found that nearly 28 percent of those incarcerated in federal prisons are not U.S. citizens, according to the Federal Bureau of Prison Statistics. That’s 5 percentage points short of a third and doesn’t take into account foreign-born residents who are in the country legally. Pearce, R-Mesa, said he got the statistic from CNN. Pearce also was called on a statistic that said 95 percent of all outstanding warrants for homicide in Los Angeles target illegal immigrants.But officers at the LA Police Department and Sheriff’s Office say they aren’t sure how that fact was deduced.”I don’t know where those come from,” said Lt. Paul Vernon, who handles public information with the LAPD. Much like in Phoenix, officers do not check immigration status. Neither LA nor Phoenix police departments track the number of illegal immigrants involved in crimes, officials said. The statistic appears to have originated with Heather MacDonald, who is listed as a scholar with the Manhattan Institute in New York. MacDonald could not be reached for comment on Monday.”

World Net Daily, the ‘conservative internet tabloid’ version of the Weekly Star has published a list of 43 Leaders who have signed the following pledge:   They are connected to William Greene’s little PR manipulation machine and John Tanton.  The problem is sorting through their mess.  I am surprised to see David Horowitz linked with this taudry little bunch of incest and racism.  I think this is what shocks me most, is find David Horowitz a part of this whole mess.

The problem here is all of this is planned by Tanton.  At least people are starting to see through it.  I’ve noticed that FAIR is not listed here among the leadership list.  The History Channel has been doing some work on this.  Congressman Chris Cannon has born the brunt of the anti-immigration hatred of Tom Tancredo.  Problem is, all of this is promoted by Tanton and his questionable links.

“The Wall Street Journal Makes the Connection

Below is an excerpt from a March 15, 2004 editorial by Jason Riley, a senior editorial page writer at the Journal.

“So determined is conservatism’s nativist wing that it’s even made common cause with radical environmentalists and zero-population-growth fanatics on the leftist fringe. The Federation for American Immigration Reform and the Center for Immigration Studies may strike right-wing poses in the press, but both groups support big government, mock federalism, deride free markets and push a cultural agenda abhorrent to any self-respecting social conservative.

FAIR’s founder and former president is John Tanton, an eye doctor who opened the first Planned Parenthood chapter in northern Michigan. By Dr. Tanton’s own reckoning, FAIR has received more than $1.5 million from the Pioneer Fund, a white-supremacist outfit devoted to racial purity through eugenics.

Board members of FAIR actively promote the sterilization of Third World women for the purposes of reducing U.S. immigration prospects. And if anything disturbs the good doctor more than those Latin American hordes crossing the Rio Grande, it’s the likelihood that most of them are Catholic, or so he once told a Reuters reporter.”

There is more, much more.  Tanton is associated with the Pioneer Fund.  This NYTimes 1977 expose on the founders of the Pioneer Fund should say it all and many any decent person change their opinion of the US HOUSE version of anti-immigration.  It should also damn Tom Tancredo and a few more of his ilk.

“Draper’s fascist-inspired vitriolic hatred of Communism and anything liberal led to his support of McCarthyism and the activities of HUAC, the House Un-American Activities Committee for over a decade. In the spirit of Dr. Josef Goebbels, he and his close associate at The Pioneer Fund, Dr. Harry H. Laughlin, actually created and then championed the “involuntary sterilization movement in America” the so-called “Buck vs. Bell” Supreme Court case which was favorably reviewed by Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes. It led directly to the involuntary sterilization of over 75,000 human beings between 1924 and 1972 in the approximately 24 states which passed similar laws at the behest and encouragement of The Pioneer Fund. Sound familiar? But the first major achievement of his work and that of Herr Laughlin, was when Hitler and Goebbels invited Laughlin to receive an honorary degree for his work in passing “The Model Eugenics Laws in America”. Hitler used the Draper-inspired American Eugenics Model to pass the law which will go down in infamy as the Nuremberg Laws: “On the Prevention of Hereditarily Ill Progeny” – the so-called Holocaust Laws…. The last time that Immigration laws were severely tightened was the 1924 Immigration Act which was accomplished, in my opinion, in direct anticipa- tion of the coming unrest in Europe during the 1930’s and 1940’s. These laws kept may legitimate refugees, all targeted for elimination by the Third Reich, from ever reaching a safe haven in the United States. The precisely identical intentions are at work today with this renewed emphasis on “Proposition 187″, which is intended to become “The Model Anti-Immigration Legislation in America” and for the rest of the world. ….the intention of the sponsors of “Proposition 187″ is to prevent those refugees targeted for “ethnic extinction” from ever reaching a safe haven in American or anywhere else in the free world for that matter. This is a very real and serious concern and every American who recognizes the true intentions of Proposition 187 should oppose it with their last breath and their last ounce of strength before it is too late.”

And a little more on Prop 187 and the laws Tanton helped pass, “Almost 30 states and many more local communities passed “English Only” statutes enshrining English as the language of official business. In 1994, after extensive campaigning by Tanton-supported groups, millions of Californians joined in passing Proposition 187, which denied social services to undocumented workers.Two years later, Tanton celebrated the passage of the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act, a law meant to cut illegal immigration that was heavily backed by anti-immigration groups. It required that asylum seekers be held in detention until they established a credible fear of persecution at home, a process that could take years.”

Wow, are you as impressed with all this leadership?  I know I am!  It makes me recall a line Sean Connery had in the last Indiana Jones movie about goose-stepping little Nazis…!

I don’t like dealing with the DailyKos, but there are some things here I’ve been trying to find for ages.  The problem with much of this is how bad it makes the Republican Party look when we are dealing with people who cannot possibly be Republicans, but conservatives first, wackos second, and who knows what else third, but not Republican.

The most fun with this whole taudry little piece of racism and betrayal is the fact that the people listed below are considered ‘leaders’.  I’ve not heard of two-thirds of them.  Have you?

Voting Rights Act Stalled by Numbers USA

You know that stalled renewal of the Voting Right’s Act?  The Blog epluribusmedia has been doing a little snooping.  Guess What?  Numbers USA is behind it! 

According to epluribusmedia:  “The letter floated around Congress for the next few months and picked up an additional 23 signatures before it was presented to Chairman Sensenbrenner on June 21st.

Who’s Really Behind the King Letter

It now appears some questions have come to light about exactly who is behind both the King letter and the effort to shelve the renewal of the VRA. The official copy of the letter that appears on the web site of the US Congress (www. house.gov) apparently was not generated by a house member or their staff, but rather by one of the leading anti-immigration/English only advocacy groups.

The copy of the letter (now available only in HTML cache ) that originally appeared on the House of Representatives web site; http://www.house.gov/pence/rsc/doc/121205_King_Bilingual_Ballot.doc, appears to have been authored by someone named KC McAlpin using a computer registered to the anti-immigration advocacy group NumbersUSA.(1)

This fact raises questions as to the identity of KC McAlpin, his affiliation with NumbersUSA, how this particular file ended up on the web site of the House of Representatives, and who is behind the letter?” … But this case appears that it might be slightly different. In this case it is quite possible that the actual letter that 79 Representatives put their names on was not in fact authored by one of their own, but rather by outside interests, interests with some rather disturbing skeletons in the closet.”

BINGO…EPLURIBUSMEDIA has made the connection – and so we have another voice in the fight against Tanton!

K. C. McAlpine, of Pro English – (a leader?)  Epluribusmedia puts it this way and answers the question as to who McAlpine is:  “In the conference room of the House Judiciary Committee on June 21st , the nexus of Tanton’s two worlds converged. The philosophies of Jean Raspail and John Vinson met with the political realities of Tom Tancredo (R-CO) and Steve King (R-IA). In one fell swoop, over forty years of civil rights legislation was jeopardized in the name of protecting American from hordes of foreign speaking invaders intent on destroying Western culture. “KC McAlpin is the Executive Director of an organization called ProEnglish. According to their website, they are “the nation’s leading advocate(s) of official English. (They) work through the courts and in the court of public opinion to defend English’s historic role as the common, unifying language of the United States of America, and to persuade lawmakers to adopt English as the official language at all levels of government.”

The group is one of thirteen like-minded organizations founded by anti-immigrant advocate John Tanton. Tanton’s multi-million dollar web of groups includes not only ProEnglish and NumbersUSA, but also the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) and the Federation for Immigration Reform (FAIR).”

Besides anti-immigration projects, the Pioneer Fund has also used its money for eugenic research. Eugenics is defined as “the study of hereditary improvement of the human race by controlled selective breeding.” New York millionaires created the Pioneer Fund “and charged it with backing research in heredity, eugenics and ”race betterment.” (Phoenix New Times, Jingo All the Way, December 25, 1997)

When questioned about Pioneer Fund contributions, Tanton “claimed ignorant about the Pioneer Fund’s connection to numerous researchers seemingly intent on proving the inferiority of blacks, as well as its unsavory ties to Nazism. Among materials published by Tanton’s Social Contract Press include the video Immigration by the Numbers, by Roy Beck, the executive director of NumbersUSA. (Phoenix New Times, Jingo All the Way, December 25, 1997) “

Ellen Grigsby,Open Doors USA (make sure you check out their fundraising percentages – I won’t say ‘rip-off’ but only 30% of what they collect for chairity goes to charity.)  It really makes mad because I thought these people were doing good things.  Ellen Grigsby is a law professor and a writer.  I would not classify her as a ‘leader’.

Mark Krikorian,Center for Immigration Studies  (Krikorian’s work appears in NRO, and the top conservative publications.  He is a Tanton shill).

Krikorian is a darling over at National Review, but yet he is a close associate of John Tanton who is a true liberal.  Another case of fake conservative syndrome?  Even the History Channel could see see through Kirkorian, so why can’t RINO Conservatives? ”The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), which was founded by John Tanton, is the parent group of the Center for Immigration Studies (CIS) headed by Mark Kirkorian. Tanton wrote a memo on July 11, 1986 stating, To expand our fund-raising machine, we created the Center for Immigration Studies last year. We need to get CIS fully funded and entrenched as a major Washington think-tank, one that can venture into issues which FAIR is not yet ready to raise. Tanton is the infamous anti-population activist who said in a memo written in 1988 that continued immigration from Latin America would lead to the peaceful takeover of the nation by a group that is simply more fertile.”

A little more on FAIR from the SPLC:  “Yes, similarly, we’ve found that a woman named Rosemary Jenks, a lobbyist for NumbersUSA, is now working part-time out of the office of Rep. Tom Tancredo.

[Editor's note: Tancredo is a Colorado Republican, chairman of the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus, and a harsh immigration critic whose Web site carries data from one of Tanton's creations, the Center for Immigration Studies. SWARTZ: That’s another example of infiltration at work. FAIR and the others have successfully placed their people around folks like Tancredo in Congress. IR: Are there other important methods that Tanton has employed? SWARTZ: Another tactic of Tanton’s is to turn ethnic groups on each other, to create conflict between different ethnic and racial groups. One of his big arguments has always been that immigration hurts blacks. FAIR has bought radio advertising on black radio stations to push that vision. A prime example was in Chicago 10 or 12 years ago, when an ad ran basically saying, “You know why you don’t have a job? Because some undocumented Mexican came in and stole yours from you.”FAIR also has hired black professionals and has put a lot of effort into building alliances with African-American intellectuals, because the unfortunate reality is that there is a lot of anti-immigrant sentiment in the black community. When you have dramatic demographic change going on in places like South Central Los Angeles — well, it’s the oldest trick in the book. It’s called making those who don’t have a lot but are making progress feel threatened by those coming after them.”

What’s Up?  First, this is a very disorganized expose on alleged Republicans, focusing on Ray McBerry of GA and Doug Hanks of NC.  Both are racists.  Something is seriously wrong with the Republican party – not the Republican Party but people who are running for office or who are claiming to be Republicans.  We have a serious problem here. 

How about treason?  Is Succession Treason?  Lincoln thought it was.

How about Lew Rockwell, a ‘libertarian’ who absolutely detests GWB.  He is quoted by conservative, freedom loving constutitionals eveerywhere, including VDARE.  You see, people think this ‘deep thinker’ is a conservative Republican.  He’s not.  I don’t know what he is but it ain’t Republican

He wrote the Great Conservative Hoax for his web site. “The problem with American conservatism is that it hates the left more than the state, loves the past more than liberty, feels a greater attachment to nationalism than to the idea of self-determination, believes brute force is the answer to all social problems, and thinks it is better to impose truth rather than risk losing one soul to heresy. Take Ray McBerry, a GA candidate for Governor (please take him).  He has been endorsed by the following:  Edwin Gravitt who runs the Liberty GOP Tea Party, and is an associate of Constutition Party stalwart Chuck Baldwin who is a Christian who believes every illegal Hispanic alien should be deported, no matter how many children are hurt.  “Liberty-GOP Tea Party Forum (TPF): Where the lesser of evils is considered to be….EVIL. Then he is endorsed by the Constutition Party – not Republican Party.

And by Henry Klingler a former libertarian candidate from Alabama – no Republican – but they are conservative. “Now, my caveat:  There is a long road ahead.  We have to recognize that getting a statesman like Ray McBerry elected is only step one.  Once elected, he is faced with returning to principles that have been ignored or compromised away for decades.  He is going to meet with entrenched opposition and vested interests in keeping things the way they are.  And, he is going to meet this greatest obstacle of all…IGNORANCE!   This obstacle can only be overcome by a continued effort of those grassroots electorate that understand and put him in office in the first place.  Ask yourself, “What do we have to gain by getting a statesman like Ray McBerry elected governor if we’re only going to incur more work?”   Let me say it like this.  If we don’t do something NOW to save our state, and by extension, our country, then we will have lost all that our forbears intended for us.  I personally want to pass on to my children (and their children) a nation that upholds the liberty and freedom that our beloved Constitution stands for.  I mean this in all seriousness.  For all practical purposes, we have already lost the Constitutional Republic that our forefathers gave us.  But, the spirit of that powerful written document lives on, and those principles are not entirely forgotten.  Time is of the essence.  The longer we have been diverted from our Constitutional roots, the more difficult our task becomes to return to them.  I sincerely believe that this may be our last chance. “

Then he is endorsed by Michael Hill of the League of the South.  Now what you need to know about Hill is he is in favor of the South Succeeding from the Union.  Evidently he does not know history and is doomed, as a fool, to repeat it’s failure.  There are questions of ties to neo-Nazis.   I don’t know about you, but when were people like McBerry, who are endorsed with people like Michael Hill, even allowed to run under the GOP name?

The SPLC wrote of him: “The man who has done more than any other to create a new, racially tinged Southern secession movement wears a white beard that gives him the unmistakable look of a Confederate Army officer — and taught during an academic career lasting decades at historically black Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

Michael Hill was always on oddity at the school, roaming the campus wearing a Confederate flag pin and waxing nostalgic to his mostly black students about the so-called “War Between the States.” He began to develop his ideas in the 1970s, while studying under neo-Confederate ideologue Grady McWhiney at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.

Expanding on his old professor’s controversial view that the South was different from the North because its population was “Celtic,” Hill published two books on Celtic history in the early 1990s. Finally, in 1994, he went public, creating the Southern League (the name was a takeoff on the separatist Northern League of Italy, but had to be changed after a baseball league of the same name threatened to sue).

Started with 40 people, what would be renamed the League of the South* included four men with Ph.D.s on its board, along with Jack Kershaw, who was once active in the segregationist White Citizens Council in Nashville and who remains on the board today.

Hill’s league started out complaining about the media treatment of white Southerners, but quickly developed into a racist group calling for secession, attacking egalitarianism, calling antebellum slavery “God-ordained,” opposing racial intermarriage, and defending segregation as a policy designed to protect the integrity of both races.

An early sign of the league’s racism came in 1995, when Hill set up a student chapter at his alma mater. Within months, its members began to verbally attack gays and its president, Thomas Stedman, wrote to the student newspaper to say “blacks did not invent … anything of note anywhere in the world” — a sentiment often offered up by the Klan.

In 1998, Hill finally left Stillman, which had been badly embarrassed by his efforts. Still, the league grew quickly, as racist white Southerners sought the respectability of a group led by a professor, and today claims 15,000 members.

Hill has praised anti-Semitic extremists like the immigrant-bashing Jean Marie Le Pen of France, calling for “others like Le Pen to arise.” The “ravages of multiculturalism and so-called diversity” are anathema to him. Last year, Hill described the Pledge of Allegiance as “nationalist propaganda [meant] to indoctrinate” children with socialist ideas about government.

In 2003, he led an attempt to resuscitate the Southern Party, another neo-Confederate organization. And he attacked the Supreme Court after its ruling this July striking down anti-gay sodomy laws, saying the court was helping to advance what he called the “sodomite and civil rights agendas.”

He is endorsed by Mike Crane who is a vice chairman of the ‘Southern Party’ of Georgia.

And, McBerry is endorsed by Michael A. Perouka, the 2004 Constitution Party’s Presidential Candidate. 

McBerry was part of the League of the South and is endorsed by the racist American Renaissance.  Wow!

Then there are people like former GOP NC candidate Doug Hanks, who is such an embarassment, they cause horrible problems.  This was on the Down with Tyrrany website.(extremely liberal site)  “Superficially “moderate” Republicans– the kind who don’t wear white sheets and pillowcases except under extreme circumstances– like John Aneralla, the chairman of the Mecklenburg County Republican Party, and Mayor Pat McCrory– pressured Hanks to withdraw. By the way, like many Republicans from the Hanks end of the GOP, his hatred for African-Americans extends to others as well and many of his lovely comments on StormFront.org were aimed at Jews and gays (Mehlman falling into both categories). He also tried boosting his City Council primary campaign, knowing full well that the only people who go to websites like that are the backbone of the North Carolina GOP– and, of course, people doing research for books.” It proves my point that the GOP is being infiltrated by some very nasty creatures.  If we don’t stand up and run these people out of the pary, we are in very deep dodo.

Naturally Hanks said he was not a racist. “Republican candidate Doug Hanks said Thursday that he will exit the Charlotte City Council race, after his postings on a white supremacist Internet site became public.In more than 4,000 posts on stormfront.org, Hanks railed against blacks and Jews, touted his instruction book on building a homemade rifle and recruited people to rally against Charlotte’s decision to remove the Confederate flag from Elmwood Cemetery. Hanks told the Observer Thursday that he is not a racist, though he admitted playing one on the Internet. He acknowledged making the posts and writing a novel that his own Web site compares with “The Turner Diaries.” That’s the novel often credited with inspiring Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.”

And don’t confuse the American Conservative Magazine with the Republican Party.  It is not Republican.

The ADL  has listed the League of the South as a ‘hate group’.

This afternoon I had an email that passed on Neil Bortz’s hystarical rantings.  I have it posted over at The Pink Flamingo.  Bortz has a list of things GOOD REPUBLICANS can do instead of voting in November.  The problem here is Bortz is an unrepentant Libertarian and not a Republican.  Of course he wants Republicans to stay home.  It’s like a Democrat telling Republicans to stay home.  And right now I think the ‘Libertarians’ are more the ‘enemy’ than are the Democrats.  At least we know what they’re up too.  And, quite frankly, if it came down between a libertarian leading GOP candidate for Prez and Hil, I’m sorry, but I would vote for Hil!  There is something fishy going on with the Libertarians right now, and it isn’t good.  Fact is, they are going absolutely wacky!  Let’s see, their latest is that the reason GWB issued his Ex. Order about private property is so the Illuminati can confiscate it. And the Bush family is part of the whole conspiricy. 

Don’t you know that?  If not, you aren’t reading World Net Daily, where they are seriously highlighting that idiot Jacobs claim that the Devil (probably in the form of Chris Cannon) is destroying his life.  It is breaking news!  World Net Daily is quickly becoming the ‘Star’ of the ultra right hystaria with such titles as “More Scientists Expressing Doubt about Darwin” or my personal favorite, “Puppy Raped by Illegal Alien!”  Or “Bush Border Super-State Documents Sought!”  But don’t worry, Tom Tancredo is demanding Bush hand over the documents so he can save America and make it into his own image.  It suddenly dawned on me why TT isn’t going to run for President.  He’s auditioning for God!

The American public has a right to know.” Are these two men now running America? 

FYI, did you know Tancredo started out as a Libertarian?

The whole thing is the Libertarian Movement.  I don’t mind Libertarians.  In fact,when I take a quiz about my political leanings, they come up ‘libertarian’ but that has nothing to do with the way the Libertarian Movement today is evolving into something I feel is bordering on treason.  One of the leading lights of the movement is Lew Rockwell.  He runs the Ludwig von Mises Institute.

“A key player in the institute for years was the late Murray Rothbard, who worked with Rockwell closely and co-edited a journal with him. The institute’s Web site includes a cybershrine to Rothbard, a man who complained that the “Officially Oppressed” of American society (read, blacks, women and so on) were a “parasitic burden,” forcing their “hapless Oppressors” to provide “an endless flow of benefits.” “The call of ‘equality,’” he wrote, “is a siren song that can only mean the destruction of all that we cherish as being human.” Rothbard blamed much of what he disliked on meddling women. In the mid-1800s, a “legion of Yankee women” who were “not fettered by the responsibilities” of household work “imposed” voting rights for women on the nation. Later, Jewish women, after raising funds from “top Jewish financiers,” agitated for child labor laws, Rothbard adds with evident disgust. The “dominant tradition” of all these activist women, he suggests, is lesbianism. Institute scholars also have promoted anti-immigrant views, positively reviewing Peter Brimelow’s Alien Nation.
