Just Who Is the Anti-GOP “Conservative” Voter?

NOV 5 AdditionsRichard Vaguerie, founder of the Moral Majority feels the GOP could do better if they lose.  This is terribly important because he is one of the final pieces in the puzzle I’ve been blogging about for months. I know this sounds strange, but all roads on the conservatives who feel the GOP could benefit by losing seem to begin heading toward the whole anti-immigration mess, the minutemen, et. al, and – perhaps a Tancredo run for the White House on ’08.

“…Viguerie’s stance is not new. It is, however, getting a lot more play than it did two years ago when, in an interview on PBS’s “Now” less than a week before the November 2004 election, Viguerie told then-co-host Bill Moyers that after Bush won, “somewhere around … the morning after the election … the war starts for the heart and soul” of the Republican Party. “It’s gonna be a war,” Viguerie said. A war “between the traditional conservatives, those who identify with Ronald Reagan, people like myself. And, the big government Republicans. And then also maybe the Neo-cons.”

While admitting that he was supporting Bush and would vote for him, Viguerie, the undisputed king of conservative direct mail, added: “When the voting is done and the ballots are counted, then we’re going to choose up sides and fight for the heart and souls of the Republican Party.”

“It would be on our side, the traditional conservatives [against] the other side, people like Rudy Giuliani, Governor of New York, Pataki, Arnold Schwarzenegger. It’s going to be an interesting battle. Normally Bill, it wouldn’t be a fair fight,” Viguerie told Moyers. “Cause we’ve got the troops, we’ve got the organization…the resources, the issues. One thing we lack, a horse. We’ve got no horse. Hopefully, someone will come on the scene soon. But, but we had a lot of advantages when we came along.”

“When Goldwater was defeated in ’64, Nixon’s resignation in ’74, Ford’s defeat in ’76. Swept away most of the older Republican leaders,” Viguerie pointed out….”

Then this came from Chuck Muth’s “News & Views” daily dash of libertarian conservativism.  Let’s face it, this is a perversion of Barry Goldwater!

WHERE HAVE YOU GONE, BARRY GOLDWATER?

“(The late-Sen. Barry) Goldwater was what today’s conservatives pretend to be: An actual, conservative, hawkish on defense, a stickler on spending, and a strong defender of individual rights. He firmly believed government should stay out of our lives as much as possible.  If he were still around, I suspect Goldwater would be attacked by his own party as a limp-wristed pansy, a coddler of terrorists, an anti-family, anti-God, gay-friendly, tree-hugging extremist.  Our country is pretty messed up.”

- Columnist George Knapp”

Vaguerie has a piece today about GOP Corruption.  Geez, with ‘friends’ like these, who needs Dems?  I think we’re dealing with one of the bigger, more out of control egos here.

“…”Sometimes” Viguerie maintained, “a loss for the Republican Party is a gain for conservatives. Often, a little taste of liberal Democrats in power is enough to remind the voters what they don’t like about liberal Democrats and to focus the minds of Republicans on the principles that really matter. That’s why the conservative movement has grown fastest during those periods when things seemed darkest, such as during the Carter administration and the first two years of the Clinton White House….”

Yep, this is the brain trust behind William Greene, who is now hip deep in the minuteman, et. al. money scam.

Let’s put it this way, in a WTimes expose of the minutemen, et. al. back in October, we discover how they truly feel about GWB.  I keep telling you about this but does anyone listen?  NO…you guys keep on supporting the minutemen…

“…”You obviously need to learn more about how PACs work and the FEC requirements. Many of your questions don’t make sense and show your lack of understanding,” he said. “Thanks for the heads up on what will no doubt be your next hit piece on the MCDC movement. Who put you up to this, Karl Rove and Bush?…”

SAT NOV 4 MATERIAL

According to Chuck Baldwin, the Republicans deserve to lose.

Yahoo on Christians who want the GOP to lose.

And, our wonderful, racially pure friends over at Stormfront are pulling for a GOP loss.  I just love this one over at White Civil Rights:  GOP too Evil to win!  If you can stomach it, these are the people who want us to lose in Iraq and impeach GWB.

We have our master of mean, Pat Buchanan telling why the GOP will lose.  And Paul Craig Roberts, a “Reagan conservative” says GWB has destroyed the country.

Steven Sailer, another conservative racist is already celebrating the loss.  What you need to understand is this is a confligration of anti-immigration advocates.

All this bitching and moaning about RINOconservatives splitting with the GOP and heading elsewhere is nothing new.  Back in Oct. 2004 one W. James Antell, III, in the Intellectual Conservative, that lovely bastion of libertarianism and fake Republicanism predicted that conservatives, unhappy because the GOP was not done exactly what they wanted, would desert like the rats they are.

Or try this by James Atticus Bowden.  He’s furioius with Rush for calling the belly-aching conservatives cut and runners.  I’m sorry, this just plain old doesn’t make sense.

“…I agree.  But, I’d just call us the “conservative Republican Party”.  If we are a majority of the Republican Party then we keep our elephant paraphernalia.  If we, conservatives, are a minority, then start a new political party.  Say good-bye to the Republicans as the Republicans bid farewell to the Whigs.  May they share the same fate. Our conservative ideas triumph as issues nationwide.  Stopping illegal immigration now, supporting victory in Iraq (after defining it properly), tax cuts, ending judicial tyranny, reforming Social Security, cutting spending, protecting marriage and life, poll well enough to win across the country.  In the dark nether regions where Liberals contend or dominate, it’s better to run a conservative Republican come what may – than to keep a moderate or Liberal.

I know the mocking response to such an attitude.  ‘You don’t understand politics.”  Or, “you don’t get how to use and keep power.”  Actually, my nose is green from grassroots not brown from close contact with lobbyists and the mainstream media.  My world of political activism is my city, district and state.  And, our problem in God’s Country, aka the Commonwealth of Virginia, is Republicans in our General Assembly raising our taxes and other malevolence.

A party of principles can be out of power for a period of time.  The party will retain its energy and build its strength.  If the principles are true, then their truth will out in a return to power based on principles.  If the party is just the lesser of two evils, but still an evil, then the loss of loyalty from principled persons, called ‘Values Voters’ will be permanent.  They will shake the dust from their feet and not look back. The Values Voters, conservatives, are only a third of the Nation.  Just like the Patriots in 1776.  Yet, our issues carry the day.  We need to build a conservative Republican Party that carries our issues.  Bottom line:  If you can find a conservative Republican, then please vote Republican.”

This is the perfect example of the psudo intellectual superrority of the ‘issues’ driven conservative.  I get it now – I finally do.  Because of their devotion to an ‘idealogy’ they are better than I am.  Okay.  That works.  Bottom line – they just don’t give a rip about anything but their own ego driven mechanations and power-plays.  It takes all kinds of people to be part of a political party, not just ultra conservatives.

Read what  he wrote in May of this year. It is even more repulsive and disgusting.  Rush is right.  They are snarky little cry-babies.

“…These very good things are worthy of praise and thanks. But, not eternal political debt. So, what if the Democrats win in November ’06?

  • The President may have to fight baseless impeachment charges.
  • The momentum may build to elect Hillary Clinton.

So what? The Republican majority was useless, incapable, incompetent and impotent to do what is important and vital.

  • Failed to maintain national sovereignty – close the border and enforce the law
  • Failed to make the tax cuts permanent and continue cutting taxes
  • Failed to get all judges an up or down vote
  • Failed to cut spending
  • Failed to expand energy supplies – new drilling in Alaska and the oceans
  • Failed to reform Medicare/Medicaid, but expanded a drug entitlement
  • Failed to privatize Social Security, but spent the Social Security surplus

The Democrats can’t do much worse for two years. The Conservative voters, the margin of victory, who came out in ’94 to reject Hillary Care, didn’t come back in ’96 or ’98. They came out better in ’02 and ’04 than in ’00, but the trust and good will well is empty.

The best part of losing the majority is that Liberal and ‘Moderate’ Republicans will lose their seats, not Conservatives in Conservative districts. It clears the way for Conservatives to challenge the authentic, real deal Liberals – the Democrats. Sooner or later, the Conservatives’ ascendant ideas will carry a Conservative Republican majority into power.

It might not be a large majority because the Culture War so evenly cleaves the electorate. But, with Conservatives elected, it will be a working Conservative Republican majority, unlike the weak, useless Republican majority we have today. Perhaps a rebuked, chastised new majority in ’08 will be more faithful to Conservative principles and less adultery for cheap power.

Likewise, many Conservatives that stay home in ’06 may stay home in the ’08 Presidential election, if there isn’t a Conservative champion. If no candidate will close the borders and keep them closed while enforcing the laws – before we, as Nation, sort out what to do with millions of illegal aliens – then no candidate deserves a vote.”

I just don’t get it.

Maybe I’m not bright enough.

And then there are the Bush hating conservatives such as Peter Morici.  This Oct 23 piece for Intellectual Conservative is truly disgusting.

On Election Day, voters will take Republicans to the woodshed, and they can thank George Bush. At some point, politicians have to deliver on their promise — not their shallow campaign promises — and deliver a government that reflects the aspirations of their supporters. For years, Republicans have boasted they can do a better job of defending American shores, managing the national economy, and shielding our civilization from the liberal social agenda embraced by the likes of John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi. Whether we are talking about foreign affairs, the domestic economy or the culture wars, George Bush has disappointed the voters that put Republicans in the White House and in control of the Congress…”

Dennis Prager put it quite well in his Town Hall column:

“…Conservatives should file this thinking under the heading “Cathartic,” but not under “Smart.” One of the great realizations one comes to as the years pass is how small a role reason plays in most people’s decisions. From choosing products based on their packaging to deciding how to vote, passion and emotion usually eclipse reason. Any Republican, let alone conservative, who votes Democrat or stays home out of pique with the Republican Congress or the president has chosen emotion over reason…”

For years I have been watching the things going on out there in the wacked out world of far right conservative anti-government people.  You need to read this piece from a former sheriff who decided he needed to form his own personal militia in the county where he lived.  His voice is being echoed throughout the country within the anti-government ranks. These people were once Republican, but the GOP wasn’t good enough for them.  They became conservative, but had to go farther, past the libertarian anarchy into something that isn’t good, not good at all.  You read this piece and see what you think.  It gave me chills.

Chuck Baldwin of the CrossRoads Baptist Church is a Constution Party hack.  He is a conservative who is very much against the GOP and swings a lot of weight.  Check out his lies about the GOP.  The thing about the Constitution Party is the fact that they evolved out of Ross Perot’s bust-head Presidential bid years ago that cost Bush #41 the election.  In other words, these people are spoilers and spoiled!  The SPLC is watching them.  Frankly, I think there is a KKK connection, but ties are difficult to prove.

“…Furthermore, it is standard practice for GOP national party leaders to throw their power and weight (not to mention money) to pro-choice Republicans running against pro-life Republicans in primary races all over America. This happens all the time.

Let’s also not forget that it was our pseudo “pro-life” president, George W. Bush who just recently gave his support to the abortifacient “Plan B” which prodded the Food and Drug Administration to authorize its sale over the counter without a prescription. Therefore, now that millions of people have unrestricted access to “Plan B,” the true number of abortions will multiply exponentially. In other words, President George W. Bush has not only done nothing to end abortion on demand, he has actually dramatically increased the numbers of abortions taking place.

By the same token, if grassroots Republicans were themselves truly pro-life, they had the opportunity to support a genuine pro-life candidate when Alan Keyes was seeking the nomination for president. That they chose to elect the phony conservative, George W. Bush, means that Republicans’ commitment to the life issue is shallow at best.

It is time for the American people (especially Christian conservatives) to recognize that the two-party system in Washington, D.C., is beyond broke: it is a joke! Pat Buchanan was absolutely right when he said that the two major parties are “two wings of the same bird of prey.” One party tends to support Big Business; the other party tends to support Big Labor. However, both parties support Big Government, and neither party supports the U.S. Constitution or conservative principles.

At some point, our national Christian leaders must begin putting principle before party politics and cry out in support of genuine conservative constitutionalists, party label notwithstanding. There are hundreds and thousands of principled conservatives running for elected offices throughout the country. Some are members of my party, the Constitution Party. Some are Libertarians. Some are Republicans. A few are Democrats. If our national Christian leaders would stop playing politics and would begin championing these principled independent candidates, many of them would win election. If that happened, it would not take long for things to drastically change for the better.

However, as long as Christian conservatives remain determined to support the Republican Party under the pathetic “lesser of two evils” mantra, they will continue to elect these neocons who will continue to betray our most basic convictions.

Dear Christian friend, try something radical this November: vote for the most principled constitutionalist you can find, no matter his or her party affiliation, and trust God with the outcome of your vote. As far as the abortion debate is concerned, the GOP has absolutely no right to call itself the “party of life,” because it is not…”

They call themselves the “Values Voter” i.e. – better than you and I because they want to impose their morals and values on the Republican party.  I am a moral person.  I do not believe on imposing my morals on people.  At least the had of this bunch, Don Weldmon, is telling his people to get out and vote.

Many conservatives are not Republican. Try Scott Gillett.  Frankly I can’t tell the difference between the extreme conservatives at Either Zone and the Dems.

Then there are the hate-filled, racists William Jud’s of the world who manipulate their version of the ‘conservative truth’.  He is calling for the impeachment of GWB.

“HELP WANTED:   U.S. CONGRESS
William Jud
 27 May 2006

U.S. Constitution, Article 3, Section 3:   “Treason against the
United
 States
, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to
their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort.” U.S. Constitution, Article 6:

“. . .Senators and Representatives . .  .shall be bound by Oath or Affirmation,

to support this Constitution . .  .” U.S. Constitution, Article 1, Section 8:

(Congress shall have power) “To  provide for calling forth the Militia to

execute the Laws of the Union,  suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions.”

U.S. Constitution, Article 2, Section 1:   “Before he (the President)
enter on the Execution of his Office, he shall take the following Oath or
Affirmation:  ‘I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully
execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best
of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United
 States’.”

These are among the many jobs that the U.S. Constitution requires the
President, U.S. Senators, and U.S. Representatives to do.  Failure to do
any of those jobs is sufficient grounds to terminate the employment of the
President, a Senator, or a Representative. Legislative Malpractice is further

justification for removal from office.  Not only are some members of Congress

not doing their Constitutionally  assigned jobs for the American people, as

Article 6 requires, they are  actively engaged in tearing down America

and in giving America‘s enemies  “Aid and Comfort.”

… MEChA’s premise is fraudulent.  Ancestors of most modern Mexicans were
Europeans who immigrated to Mexico from Spain, displacing Mexican Indians
who lived there.  Mexico was originally a Spanish colony that conquered
Aztecs and other tribes in that region. To be consistent in their demand for land

repatriation, Mexicans  demonstrating on U.S. streets would have to

‘reclaim Aztlan’ for the  Mexican Indians.  Everyone else in Mexico

who is not a direct,  full-blooded descendent of the original Mexican

Indians is a ‘foreign  European’ who must return to Spain.

The Mexican street demonstrators are a hostile, invading army.  They fully
intend to overthrow the U.S. Government and install their own brand of
International Socialism.  They fully intend to push out existing U.S.
citizens and take our land and property.  They come as thieves under the
camouflage of ‘Guest Workers.’ ‘Guest Workers’ never go home.

Congress and President Bush are aiding, abetting, and giving comfort to
this invading army of Mexicans.  They do this in violation of the
requirements for holding office as stated in the U.S. Constitution,
Article 1, Section 8, and Article 3, Section 3.  Failure to protect U.S.
citizens is a violation of the U.S. Constitution, Article 6.  Senators and
Representatives who refuse to protect U.S. citizens from the Illegal
Aliens hostile invading army are in violation of their Oath or Affirmation
to ‘support this Constitution.’ If those elected officials remain in
office they do so fraudulently, criminally and illegally.  Those elected
officials must be removed from office immediately and permanently.

Thirty nine Senate Democrats and 23 Republicans approved an immigration
bill that gives  amnesty to Illegal Aliens already here. Those 62 Senators
are in violation of the U.S. Constitution, Article 3, Section 3, Article
6, and Article 1, Section 8.  Those 62 Senators voided their office.  If
they remain in office they do so illegally, unconstitutionally, and
 criminally.

We will see what happens with this immigration legislation in the House of
Representatives, and with President Bush.  But the House has its own
internal housecleaning to do.  Socialism and the U.S. Constitution are mortal

enemies.  A person can be a  Socialist, or can support the Constitution,

but cannot do both.  Within the House of Representatives is an internal organization, the
Democratic Socialists of America, DSA, and another called the Progressive
Democrats of America populated by ultra-left Socialist Democrats in
 Congress.

Congressional Socialists are closely linked with Communist and Socialist
organizations dedicated to overthrowing the U.S. government. Several of
those subversive organizations were organizers of the Illegal Aliens
Street Demonstrations of recent weeks.  Those subversive organizations
work tirelessly toward violent overthrow of the U.S. government and
conversion of America to Socialism/Communism.  To achieve this end, all of
America‘s land, wealth and property must be given away to Mexico and
Third
 World
nations. White, Christian Americans must be eliminated.

Where are the “good-hearted folks” that President Bush said will be our
Guest Workers (who never go home)?  We are importing Revolutionaries and
potential Terrorists, not helpers who “will do the work that Americans
will not do.”  Congress and President Bush are giving Aid and Comfort to a
hostile invading army bent on our complete destruction.  Does that sound
like Treason?  You bet it does!

The Senate’s immigration bill includes eventual U.S. citizenship for the
Illegals.  Illegals will get Earned Income Credit refunds on their taxes.
The U.S. government must get the okay from the Mexican government to build
a border security fence. Social Security retirement payments will go to
Illegals and survivor payments to their families.  In-state college
tuition is authorized for Illegals.  Can’t-be-fired employment is
guaranteed, at prevailing (not minimum) wage.  Taxpayer dollars will flood
into Immigrant Rights Socialist/Communist organizations that supported the
 street demonstrations.

Treason?  YES!  Legislative malpractice?  YES!  Sufficient grounds for
immediate  termination of service of a whole bunch of Senators and
 Representatives?  HELL YES!

Every elected official who votes, or voted, in favor of the Senate
immigration bill needs to be removed from office immediately and
prosecuted as an Enemy of these United States.

It’s time for wholesale housecleaning in Congress.

Remember this Congressional sellout during the coming national elections
…”
