--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Minuteman Civil Defense Corps Form 990, Informational Return for Not for Profit Organizations, for calendar year 2005 has been completed and submitted to the IRS.
Link to 990: http://www.minutemanhq.com/~video/2005_990.pdf
Given the egregiously false or erroneous reporting—as well as some outright malicious lies about the status of MCDC finances that this organization has endured—the Board has decided that this year and this year only MCDC will emulate publicly-traded company standards and release MCDC’s first year audited financial statements, in addition to the normal 990 documentation.
Link to independent audit:
http://www.minutemanhq.com/~video/MCDC_2005_FS.pdf
We note that we are releasing our organizational IRS Form 990 and the additional audited financial statements on deadline, as promised, when promised. The independent auditors’ report from Salmon Beach and Associates is a clean finding, and attached to the audited financial statements.
Our total income was $418,493.00.
$112,500.00 of income was in unrestricted grants from Declaration Alliance.
Our Total Expenditures were $449,667.00
Our Program Services were $280,920.00 which was 62.47% of our total expenditures.
Our Management and General Expenses were $23,348.00 which was 5.19% of our total expenditures.
Our Fundraising Expenses were $145,399.00 which was 32.34% of our total expenditures.
All these expenses paid were for both goods and services—including product hard costs, consulting fees, and expenditures for professional materials and services rendered.
Summary
The overall financial activity for the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps for calendar year 2005 was judged by independent auditors to be absolutely clean with no derogatory findings.
62.47% to programs
5.19% to management/administration
32.34% to fundraising
The percentage allocations of expenditures to delivery of programs and services on monies donated are much better than most first-year startup national organizations. The expenditures breakdown on the 2005 calendar year IRS Form 990 on page 13 are itemized into categories, which are summed up as follows:
BANK CHARGES: Self explanatory
CAGING FEES: Amount charged for processing contributions
CREDIT CARD FEES: Fees charged for processing credit card contributions
DONATION EXPENSES: Expenditure to another non-profit for services assisting with background checks
EDUCATION EXPENSES: Production of educational materials/pamphlets
FIELD SUPPLIES: Supplies required for field operations other than equipment.
FUEL EXPENSE: Reimbursement for fuel costs such as generator fuel for border operations
FUNDRAISING EXPENSES: Hard costs for fundraising event expenditures.
GARBAGE REMOVAL: Expense incurred in trash removal from the border.
HALL RENTAL: Rental for field headquarters during border operations.
LIST RENTAL EXPENSES: Payment for list rental to other organizations for education, mobilization and fundraising purposes
LODGING: Lodging reimbursement for field operations
MEALS: Meals reimbursement for field operations
OFFICE EXPENSES: Overhead for Arizona headquarters
OPERATIONAL EXPENSES: Border field operational expenses
PROGRAM &amp; MANAGEMENT EXPENSES: Education, training, mobilization and fundraising programs, services and management for border operations which includes expenseable field equipment
PROGRAM SERVICES: Miscellaneous field expenses not falling under other categories
TELEMARKETING: Fundraising
UTILITIES: Power expenses at field office for border operations
VOLUNTEER BACKGROUND CHECK: Monies spent on background checks for those volunteers who did not have a valid concealed carry permit which would necessitate a background check for issues such as violent felony convictions.
FORM 990, PART IV, LINE 57
LAND BUILDINGS AND EQUIPMENT:
Machinery and capital equipment for border operations

		<description>Thank you for your response.
I will go to the sites you suggested.
I will keep an eye out here for your findings.
I will be happy to see this cleared up, and Chris Simcox appreciated, for all he has already done, and will continue to do.
The MCDC are a hard working, caring, bunch of good Americans. It makes me sad to see their efforts so put down, and people trying their best to destroy their leader.
Folks can laugh at the MCDC fence project, but at least they are not just sitting behind a computer, in an air conditioned room, complaining about their country. The fence will be built.
Thank you.

. Let me give you a update as to the American Caging first. At time by going just throught the public records I found cause to be alarmed. However new information has caused me to be really alarmed. You see it is just not me raising queestion. Former Minutemen, active minutemen in other Minutemen groups are the ones leading the charge in this.
As to American Caging please go here
http://www.clownposse.org/colloquy/showthread.php4?t=158
IN fact to see how the entire Conservative Internet World is talking about and to see the evidence they dug up go here
http://theponderingamerican.blogspot.com/2006/08/urgent-post-to-all-political-arizona.html
If you notice two of those groups are have minutemen in them that are raising the most ruckus. Jim Gilchrist is seperating himself from Simcox and leaving him out to dry. The Washington Times has done reports and is standing by them. The Dallas News paper nad the Jewish World Report had raised this concerns.
Right now, we know this. What we see is perfectly legal. It s shocking but true. This happens every day with these groups. They take a donors dollar and take 80 cents for themselves. This syndicate has been documented it doing it time after time after time. Again go see what your fellow minutemen are doing and saying. They are the ones that are exposing this.
Further all we get form the Minutemen through their spokesman ,Connie Hair, is her speaking through a screen name on Liberty post forum threatning lawsuits if we don&#039;t all shut up and quit talking about what is in the public record.
Thsi is your spokeswoman latest statement tonight that I reference and link too
http://theponderingamerican.blogspot.com/2006/08/breaking-connie-hair-makes-another_05.html
That has been the response. I suspect they are trying to figure out a way to put the money back. But that is the most hopeful scenario.
As to the Fence. Well its hard to tell what this fence is. Mr Simcox keeps moving the goal post. At one time is was going to cost 55 million. Now it is going to cost over 300,000,000 as to his latest statements. What are we to believe?
I feel for you I truly do. I have no real personal stake in this fence issue. I look at it as folly really. But that is my view. My concern is much bigger than a fence. My goal is to expose groups that are rooking us conservative out of major bucks. You and your friends are the just the latest victim of these people.
Right now we have much bigger problems. Questions are being raised because the Minutemen have not been forth coming as to the finances. There is concern that some of this money might have shifited into the minutemen pac. A pac that is giving out funds as we speak. If there is any thing to those charges, and I pray there isn&#039;t, all conservatives and Republicans are going to pay for it in Novmember. SOmething that will have dire effect on your political goals also. The dems and the people you oppose are waiting to pounce. Thank God many people the least ,myself ,as to the work that has been done is demanding an accounting now.
I will report things as they come out. It will be no skin off my nose to say that certain people are groups are in the clear. But this cannot be questioned. The relationships though legal in this affair are unethical to say the least and very scandalous. That has been established the mutual ownership of these groups. To be honest the Minuteman Organization based in Arizona and incorporated in Deleware have no one but to blame but themselves as to creating a situation like this.
As for clearing people I shall when the fact are brought out. I am not sure what I should be clearing people of. Right now what I have talked about is pretty true as to mutual ownership of all these groups. That has been proven by the minutemen themselves. But of course anything that is to their benifit I will be glad to put it out. Because in the end all conservatives will be tarred by this

<description>I just hope if you find Chris Simcox, and American Caging, to be clear of any wrong doing, you publish it all over the place, including the Minuteman forum!
This could hurt a lot of sincere people, myself included. If this is true, it should be exposed, but if this is nothing, that too should be exposed from the rooftops!
Do you even know the TRUE plans for the fence? At least one rancher CHANGED his mind as to how he wanted the fence built, so the cows walked right through it! Some of the fence was symbolic, and was a simple wire fence, and it was advertised as such.
There are many plans for building the real fence in the works.
It might not be built when and how every one&#039;s personal preference is, but that is really not any one&#039;s business, as long as the MCDC does what they said they would do. It is THEIR business when and where.
Thank you.
