The Wicked Witches of the West!

In order to salve things a bit and prove that men aren’t the only ones manipulating the anti-immigration world, I thought it would be nice to concentrate on what I refer to as the “Wicked Witches of the West”.

Barbara Coe is the most visible of the tawdry little group who could teach the ladies of Wisteria Lane a thing or two.  She is associated with the Cof CC and is a close, personal friend of Jim Gilchrist.  She doesn’t like Hispanics and once referred to them as savages. ‘Two months later, in a speech to the California Coalition onImmigration Reform, a hate group whose leader, Barbara Coe,routinely refers to Mexicans as “savages,” Simcox offered a dire warning to his audience.‘.  She’s also the chair of the California Coalition for Immigration Reform.  She periodically contributes to Vdare (an extremely racist web-based publication that is rapidly becoming mainstream).

Virginia AbarnethyLast year, Virginia Abernethy, a professor emeritus at Vanderbilt’s medical school and leader of the Tanton-influenced Population-Environment Balance, became the latest in the Tanton network to join the Citizens Informer editorial board.
“My view of the Council of Conservative Citizens,” she told the Intelligence Report, “is that they support traditional values and the freedom of people to associate with people that they want to associate with.” She spoke on the same day that the CCC’s website carried a comparison of black pop singer Michael Jackson and an ape a comparison that Abernethy suggested may have reflected “bad taste,” but not racism. “What is the point of a society that pushes [racial] mixing?” she asked when told of another CCC web item that derided the wife of murdered Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl as a “mixed race” woman who is “committed to racial and ethnic amalgamation.” “Our society pushes mixing,” the retired Vanderbilt professor added. “I think this is probably not a good thing for the society.”

The Cafe Press

And the two women, McKee and Abernathy had a falling out.  IN one article both protested their racism.

And try this one from the KKK web siteThat?s right, FAIR and other immigrant reform organizations are afraid of being called racist. (This is another reason I enjoy being a spokesman for The Knights. While so many groups spend a majority of their time trying to prove they aren?t a supporter of the white race per se, those we talk to already know our stance regarding the white race {yeah – we?re for them} and then we can proceed with talking about the issues} FAIR put out this press release upon McKee?s selection of Abernethy – excerpt below:?FAIR firmly believes in the motto e pluribus Unum – ?out of many, one? – that people of all races, religions and ethnic backgrounds who embrace the ideals of our constitution are part of one unified American community?.While organizations like the Southern Poverty Law Center and the virtually unknown Center for New Community would like to tar all supporters of immigration reform with the same brush, there is a time for complete candor and sober assessment. When there is evidence someone has crossed the line, we are compelled to speak out: Views expressed by a Ms. Virginia Abernethy, a Nashville, Tennessee advisor to Kathy McKee – are repugnant, divisive and do not represent the views of the vast majority of Arizonans..FAIR and everyone FAIR represents categorically denies and repudiates Abernethy?s repulsive separatist views. ..The only separatism we advocate is separating Virginia Abernethy and Kathy McKee from this effort before they do anymore damage.?

One immigration reform website had this to say: ?It is our hope that the stench of McKee and Abernethy will not waft over those decent and well-meaning citizens who have labored hard and long for the true purpose of Prop 200…That she should engage a known radical ?separatist?, which is synonymous with racist and white supremacist, in any capacity is no surprise to those of us who have known of her narcissistic nature since first contact over a year ago.?The remarks made about Abernethy and McKee are inexcusable and are symptomatic of the problem with so many in the different umbrellas of the ?conservative? movement. They want a clean white Christian nation (even if they don?t admit it) but they want to keep their reputation also. ..SHAME!”

Kathy McKee  “The Center for New Community, an antiracist group based in Chicago, reported that PAN director Kathy McKee in July brought in Virginia Abernethy, a retired professor who is tied closely to the Council of Conservative Citizens (CCC; see Communing with the Council) hate group.

Although Abernethy denied being a supremacist, telling the Arizona Daily Star that she was merely a white “separatist” who preferred to be “with my own kind,” she was immediately denounced by the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). FAIR, which helped pay to gather signatures for the referendum but later broke angrily with McKee, described Abernethy’s views as “repugnant.”

That was a remarkable statement, given FAIR’s own longstanding ties to the CCC, other white supremacists, and even to Abernethy herself. Consider:

  • FAIR worked closely with a hate group, the American Immigration Control Foundation (AICF), to pay signature-gatherers for the referendum. Together, they spent $305,500. Like Abernethy, aicf’s leader, John Vinson, is an adviser to the CCC, a group that has described blacks as a “retrograde species of humanity.” FAIR has not criticized Vinson in any way.
  • Connie Hair now runs the Minuteman Project.  She is closely associated with Alan Keyes.  She is responsible for bringing William Greene into the mix.

Michelle Dallacroce is the anti-immigration dimwit version of Cindy Sheehan.  Her Mother’s Against Illegal Immigration is pure hysteria.  And this is her dimwit take on the 14th!   And she has finally hit the big time – the SPLC puts her right up there with known neo-Nazis!   “”Well, I’m protesting you,” the anarchist called back. “If anybody gave you an order to torture an Iraqi, you know you’d follow it like a good little fascist.” Back at the Minuteman mini-rally, Mothers Against Illegal Immigration founder Michelle Dallacroce warned of Mexicans taking over America by “outbreeding our mothers.” Gilchrist’s towering, pony-tailed bodyguard shoved a news photographer who got too close. Meanwhile, a group of high-school boys in business suits with National Young Leaders Conference name tags made their way over to the neo-Nazis, where they stood next to Bill White and sieg-heiled while their giggling girlfriends snapped souvenir photos.”

Here’s a brief tangent: Michelle Dallacroce, the founder (and quite possibly the only member of) Mothers Against Illegal Immigration said the only job of immigrant women and children is for the children to “overpopulate” and “dumb down” our public schools. Her statement really proves the opposite in that such a statement indicates the speaker is fairly dumb already and is just passing that condition on to her children herself. America’s schools have been dumbing down for quite some time and the influx of illegal aliens, while they may crowd our schools, probably don’t have any effect on the educational decline of our children.”

Michelle Malkin, as you know, is the darling of the RINO Conservatives, Hannity, FOX news, etc.  There’s one little problem.  Michelle has a Vdare skeleton in her closet, where she pontificates alongside the likes of Peter Brimelow and Steve Sailer.  Malkin has argued for the internment of the Japanese during WWII without admitting what is probably an understandable Phillippino bias on her part.  Liberal blogger David Neiwert is merciless when it comes to exposing Malkin.  NOTE:  Malkin is not a neo-nazi, fascist, or any of those nasty things.  The problem is the fact that she is associating with people who are.

I’ve been trying to get the goods on Phyllis Schlafly for six months.  I finally found a connection to Brimelow’s Center for American Unity on her English only topic page in the Eagle Forum.  And she also connects to John Tanton’s Pro English organization.  I just love the way otherwise staunch conservative snuggle up to the pro-abortion Tanton when it suits their purposes.  Check out his bio on the site.  She also links directly to Glenn Spencer’sAmerican Border Patrol.

When you lie down with dogs you get fleas – and Schlafly must be really itching.  “Joining Spencer, who warned his audience that a second Mexican-American war would erupt in 2003, was an array of key extremists: Mark Weber, a principal of the Holocaust-denying Institute for Historical Review;White power web maven, former Klansman and ex-con Don Black; Gordon Lee Baum, “chief executive officer” of the CCC; and several members of the neo-Nazi National Alliance.Neo-Nazis like those of the National Alliance were not among those who lobbied Tancredo and the other politicians during the NumbersUSA event two weeks earlier.”

And Schlafly then links directly to the racistVdare.  And the Eagle Forum home page is a glorification of all things Schlafly.  NOTE:  I am not calling Schlafly a neo-nazi, fascist, racist, or anything other than a RINO conservative who is so out of control she no longer cares who she associates with as long as she can prove her point.

Then we have the Empress of Mean herself, Ann Coulter.  On the bright side, if President Bush’s amnesty proposal for illegal immigrants ends up hurting Republicans and we lose Congress this November, maybe the Democrats will impeach him and we’ll get Dick Cheney as President.”
What a piece of work.  She manages to make Hillary look good and make every RINO Conservative woman look bad in the process.  She redefines the term ‘_itch”.  I could never find links to the nasty ones, but finally she blew it, quoting Peter Brimelow, a known racist.  She quotes a 1992 National Review piece he did which is so racist it reeks.  He quotes Sam Francis, with a really interesting little piece and then Joseph Fallon, both ‘outed’ for racism.  Fallon writes for American Renaissance.  Check out their link’s page and follow the dotted line to White Supremacist groups.  The last thing I want to do is quote from the Huffington Post, but it is important. The Brimelow book she quotes, Alien Nation is a known racist publication.Peter Brimelow exemplifies that change. In 1995, he published the bestselling Alien Nation, a book that argued that America is historically white-dominated and should stay that way — but that was also written in a genial style and was careful to treat black Americans as part of the polity.

By 1997, he was warning that by 2008 the GOP would no longer be able to compete in presidential elections because the racial makeup of the electorate would be changed by non-white immigration.

Today, the former senior editor at Forbes magazine edits an anti-immigration Web page that carries an array of frankly white supremacist and anti-Semitic essays.

    The Role of Race
Brimelow’s political evolution might have been predicted. Although his Alien Nation was well reviewed in many places, it included strong veins of racism and xenophobia.

He described the role of race as “elemental, absolute, fundamental.” He said that white Americans should demand that U.S. immigration quotas be changed to allow in mostly whites. He argued that spending tax dollars on anything related to multiculturalism was “subversive.” He called foreign immigrants “weird aliens with dubious habits.”

He worried repeatedly that his son, with his “blue eyes” and “blond hair,” would grow up in an America in which whites had lost the majority.

At one point, he wrote that if one enters an Immigration and Naturalization Service waiting room, just like entering the New York subways, “you find yourself in an underworld that is not just teeming but also almost entirely colored.”

Even earlier, in 1993, Brimelow, who is himself an immigrant from England, lauded a book by Jared Taylor, who now oversees the racist American Renaissance magazine.

In his review, he said that racism is “undetectable” in opinion polls and “does not seem” to affect blacks’ economic status. He said tax money spent to help blacks and the poor “has done little good and much ill.” And he said that “policemen of all races are, if anything, more lenient with criminals of a different race.”

In 1999, Brimelow started the Center for American Unity, where he remains president today. The center’s most important project was a Web page called VDARE, named after Virginia Dare, the first English child born in the New World in 1587.

Brimelow has written that he once planned to bestow Dare’s name on “the heroine of a projected fictional concluding chapter in Alien Nation, about the flight of the last white family in Los Angeles.”

Now, in order to fully expose what is either Coulter’s racist leanings or her abject stupidity for being pulled into Brimelow’s scams, we need to do a little linking. Searchlight Magazine ran a piece dealing with the Cof CC’s Feb 2006 meeting in DC, where a gathering of the dark side of the force – well – gathered.

Follow the bouncing little black symbol…”But it was not only the keynote speakers who were of interest. The list of those attending this year’s conference read like a veritable “who’s who” of American white supremacy. Particularly prominent among the attendees were the contingent from Stormfront.org, the world’s largest white supremacist website – slogan “white pride, world wide” – run by the former Alabama Klansman Don Black, who in 1981 tried to invade the island of Dominica and set up a white supremacist state. The venture failed and Black was jailed for three years.

Black and his son together with Jamie Kelso all flew in from Florida. Many other members of Stormfront were allowed by Taylor to attend using false identities (although, as Searchlight did not exactly advertise its presence it would be rather churlish to dwell on this point). Indeed Stormfront activists accounted for as many as one sixth of the delegates. Stormfront claims to have been instrumental in obtaining Griffin, the leader of the British National Party, as a speaker for the conference.

Several prominent leaders of the rightwing “grassroots” Council of Conservative Citizens (CofCC) were present including Gordon Baum, chain-smoking throughout, Sam Dickson, a retired attorney and the conference’s closing speaker, and Joel T. LeFevre, editor of Citizens Informer, who played a major role in organising the event. As Taylor himself put it in his opening remarks, the CofCC was a “lynchpin” co-ordinating the activities of a plethora of organisations. He didn’t mention, however, that the organisation is a direct descendent of the White Citizens’ Council which fought a rearguard action against civil rights in the 1950s.

John Brimelow (twin brother of Peter Brimelow, author of the influential anti-immigration tract Alien Nation) who runs the popular VDARE.com website attended and was observed cloistered in the atrium consorting with Black and his cohorts. A controversial figure for some within the American Renaissance milieu, David Duke, former Grand Wizard of the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan (who was succeeded by Black), was there as were the far-right radio talk show host Hal Turner, Mark Weber, director of the California-based Holocaust denial outfit the Institute for Historical Review (IHR), Kevin Strom of National Vanguard and David Pringle, both former members of the neo-Nazi National Alliance. There was also a large contingent of Canadians led by Paul Fromm of the Canada First Immigration Reform Committee. Fromm is a friend of the Holocaust deniers Lady Michelle Renouf and Ernst Zündel who, much to Fromm’s annoyance, is currently on trial in Germany.

Now, how about a refund on her new book!  I am not saying Ann Coulter is a neo-Nazi, white supremacist, or anything else in that line – I’m saying she has questionable associates and either knows who and what they are and doesn’t care or is as bright as Cindy Sheehan!

And a final word about Coulter’s friend Brimelow”  V-DARE”V-DARE — shorthand for Virginia Dare, the first English child to be born in what is now the United States — is a web site run by a “coalition” whose most prominent member is Peter Brimelow.

Brimelow, a leading anti-immigration activist and author of Alien Nation, argues that America is historically a predominantly white nation, and that Americans have a right to demand that it remain that way.

A past columnist for the conservative National Review, Brimelow says he once considered adding a fictional end to his Alien Nation, a nonfiction critique of immigration, about the last white family to leave Los Angeles.

V-DARE posts anti-immigration articles by Brimelow’s twin brother John; right-wing columnists like Paul Craig Roberts and Joseph Fallon (Brimelow’s main researcher on Alien Nation); and defenders of The Bell Curve — a controversial book arguing that whites are more intelligent than blacks — like Steve Sailer.

Both Brimelow and Fallon have defended Jared Taylor, who edits the racist American Renaissance magazine. Taylor’s deputy, James Lubinskas, has returned the favor by writing for V-DARE.

Brimelow has close ties to several other leaders on the anti-immigration scene, among them John Vinson of the American Immigration Control Foundation, Llewellyn Rockwell and Jeffrey Tucker of the Ludwig von Mises Institute, and John H. Tanton of the Federation for American Immigration Reform.

Thank you for this excellent and timely article on John Tanton.
I am still confused about some things.
I would like to know what exactly is John Tanton’s current relationship with the Minuteman Project? Does he hold office, such as treasurer, in that organization?
How much money has John Tanton donated personally to the Minuteman Project?
Where does Dr. John Tanton get the vast amounts of money that he donates to his causes? Since nothing I have read so far would indicate that he has personal vast wealth, I want to follow the money to its source.
The way I look at it, the dialectic conflict that is being set up on our border with Mexico all has the same result. We get totalitarian rule from the elites via fascism (neocon, conservatism) or we get totalitarian rule from the socialist / communists. Marsixm is Marxism.
We the people want very much to be heard by our traitors in Washington but we do not want to ally ourselves with communists or fascists.
I am I gues what is now called a “paleo conservative”. The “conservatives” you refer to in your article have nothing to do with true conservatism and neither does the Republican Party.
I am concerned about border integrity and national sovereignty. Without enforcement of our immigration laws we cannot have the rule of law and freedom under God.
      Thank you
